We Don't believe in flat-rate pricing. It only works when all repairs are pretty much the same. Vintage electronic and mechanical equipment vary enormously from set to set. Moreover, some customers want "basic minimum services" while others want the set fully refurbished.

Thus, our prices are generally based on a physical examination of each set, and estiamted according to that set's and that owner's unique needs.

We loosely work on an hourly basis. I say "loosely" because rigorous hourly pricing rewards the slow, plodding technician while shorting the fast, expert technician. It is not true that the smart, quick technician can simply "fix more sets", because there's a significant "number of sets per day" burnout factor.

That said, to the degree we work by the hour, we charge $150.00 per hour. This is highly applicable to minor repairs performed at the counter while the customer waits.
